We are unique because our president and founder has a background in real estate and construction, our industry of specialty. He leads from the front lines, works his own “desk”, teaches his team some of the basics of real estate development and construction, and personally vets every candidate before sending them out to our clients.

 

This gives us an edge when it comes to understanding what our clients want from us and building rapport with potential talent, but there is more to being a good recruiter than simply understanding our industry. We know the value of networking. We pay for referrals and we are building a network of firms that recruit in the construction industry with whom we collaborate and share our fees. We also understand that we are essentially a specialty marketing firm who excels at extremely targeted advertising and that promoting or improving our client’s brand is just as important as filling their needs.

 

We have learned the “old school” techniques on which most of the top recruiters in the industry pride themselves. These skills are essential, but the truth is that the recruiting industry as a whole is decades behind other industries such as the real estate industry.

 

Many high end firms scoff at the "job board and Linkedin recruiters". While many of those recruiters are lacking some of the most important fundamentals of recruiting, they are doing some things right in their pursuit of new technology. If firms want to remain viable in the information age, they need to adapt and learn to create a marriage between the “old school” techniques and modern technology.  We strive to perfect this marriage and believe doing so will lead to faster and more effective service to both our clients and the talent we represent.
